Augusto C. S. Asciutti, also known in The Sandbox as “Karatroz”, is a Biologist that found on this game an opportunity to develop an innovative cell biology educational project, to explore the possibilities and challenges of education in the metaverse.

Graduated in Biological Sciences, with a master degree in Cell and Structural Biology and PhD in Translational Neurosciences, his aim was to give an opportunity to people explore the internal environment of the cell, a microuniverse within us that for many remains a mystery.

However, his works with The Sandbox are not restricted to Unit of Life. He started creating content for The Sandbox since the first contact in November, 2021. Participated in many VoxEdit contests and Game Jams, being awarded with a few prizes: 5th Place award VoxoDeus Game Jam; User’s Pick Award Ragnarok Game Jam; Video Guide Award Ragnarok Game Jam; 4th Place Award Live VoxEdit Contest May 2022 and 4th Place Award The Pickaxe Master VoxEdit Contest.

Furthermore, have participated in the development of many other games with KOC Games Studio, MetaMundoBR, CódigoBrazuca and Play4Change.

Outside The Sandbox, Augusto is a sci-fi writer and artist, being published two books in Brazilian Portuguese and one in English. Creator of the Jovie Trilogy, he aims to further develop his works as a writer and 3D artist, focusing on sci-fi 3D art and animation. This project will also have NFT Art galleries in The Sandbox and Spatial.
